Is it safe bet to have Dual GPU using only one connector that split into 2x8 pins?

The PSU is platinum rated FSP Group PT FM series 1200W ATX 12V v2.4 and EPS 12V v2.92 80 Plus Platinum Certified and the GPU is MSI RX 580.

I want to build mining rig and a rig consist of 6s RX 580. The purpose of wanting to use less cable is for having more room and good cable management. Will it safe?

too risky and you wont get full performance out of your GPU

its actually working and should be fine, but for safety you shouldnt split those cable in two. The reason behind this is that you can barely burn the cables and melt the connector too, and the other bad thing is that if your 8pin rail doesnt hold up, it will trigger the Over-current protection and shuts down the PSU immediately when the system still running, and nobody wants that thing to be happen in a mining system.

Will it safe ? No, its definitely not a good idea.
Will it work ? Yes, it will work just fine.

You risk melting your cables. Strongly advise against that.
