I recently bought a ryzen x370 crosshair 6 motherboard with a ryzen 1800x and 16gb trident z 3600mhz ram, however the motherboard does not state that this arm.is supported but a number of people have informed me that it will work? can someone confirm. Thanks.

Yes, you likely can get it to work but chances are very good that you won't reach 3600 MHz. The max speed listed by the mobo manufacturer is 3200 MHz overclocked. I highly doubt that the mobo is good enough to be stable at this speed and you will have system crashes.
