it all started 2 days ago i contacted my isp for a little upgrade, in order to have that done they asked me to go to my router site [tp link wr1042nd] and change the dial settings [network-wan. l2pt/russia], i was connected everything was fine [aslmost] i immediately noticed something wasnt right but couldnt point my finger at it, after some time i tried downloading some file and ive noticed that the download speed is around 100 KB/sec

my Internet connection works but stupid slow
my connection to the pc is wired
my modem is set to bridge mode
my isp said since my wifi is functioning as expected its a problem in my pc
im running windows 10
right now if i plug my model directly into my pc i wont have internet connection

things i tried
disabling firewall completely
swapping the cable around [different ends]
trying different cable
trying different lan ports
changed the limit eservable bandwidth to 0
while i was with the isp on the phone we tried connecting the modem into the pc without the router in between and if i recall correctly the internet worked as expected
restarting both modem and router at the same time
my modem is set to bridge mode
using some cmd commands

strange occurance
today in the morning was my 3rd day with that problem, i kept trying different things i cant quite tell remember exactly what i did but i fixed my internet somehow and it was working fine with almost nothing changing, it was pure luck for me, i didnt think my actions would do significant change, and i was sure that the problem was on the isp side, then i moved my table back to the wall and accidentally shut the power of the room and here i am back again with this problem

i feel hopeless i dont know what else i can do

Do you recall if you were changing settings on the PC or the router?

after i had the problem i was changing left right and trying everything i could both on pc and router, but before i called the isp for an upgrade when my internet was fine, i was really mad about my pings and i did alot of port forwarding to try and fix it alone, but in the end deleted all of them
i think the problem could be in my motherboard, i tried turning off my pc including power supply and taking out the ethernet cable for 40~ min but that didnt help

maybe completely reseting my router could help ? tho im afraid i cannot set it up again by myself

i think i found the casue, i guess i broke it myself, and not my isp
i was having really bad pings in games because of isp scam, they closed ports of smth like that causing huge load that led to my pings [my theory i dont know how it really works] so i was trying ton of software i found online for ping improvement and tried port forwarding [forwarding-> virtual servers -> add new| thats how it looks like in my router site]
i deleted all of the programs tho and deleted all of the ports things i did

Try one thing ... goto Network and Sharing and click Change adapter settings. This should give you a screen with all your network adapters. Right click the ethernet and hit properties. At the top right, click "Configure". Click the advanced tab and look for "Speed & Duplex". The default is auto-negotiate. Change it to 100 Mbps full (or 1Gbps full).

ive seen that somewhere and tried that, i didnt know really what to expect, i changed it a few times there [i also read that it depends on the cable which i have no idea of what i own]
it didnt really help
i think one of the softwares ive downloaded had something broken in my pc

I'm sure you have googled this problem and seen a number of other people have had it. It also seems that each one has a different solutions (bad cable, bad port, bad power plug, settings, software, etc). As you have probably changed setting so many times, it might be worth trying a reset of your interfaces. This will reload the drivers and reset the settings (which I am sure you have done).

Open settings and click on Network & Internet. At the bottom of the list, you will see Network Reset.

I will try it out. But I've already started a windows system restore to 4 days ago so we'll see if it's some software scam /virus that ruined my past 3 days

WHAT THE HECK THAT HAPPENED AGAIN, I WAS OVER HERE WATCHING RICK AND MORTY COMPLETELY RELAXING FROM THIS STRESS AND THE MY NET IS BACK FULL POWER ON ABSOLUTELY RANDOMLY
WHAT IS GOING ON

Were you watching Rick and Morty on the computer? Ok, that probably had nothing to do with it.

I really don't think it's your hardware, I think it's a software/settings issue. There is a conclusive test. I bet you have an extra hard drive sitting around somewhere. Install Windows on the spare hard drive. Don't activate windows. Don't install anything else and retest.

update
ive had really nice calm 2 weeks until now, my electricity got cut off due to weather, and now im back to this problem
could this mean the router is defective?

With all the testing you have done, it is clear the issue is your computer or the router. It would nice if you could test it with another computer. If it was me, I would spend $20 on a new network card before spending $60-$100 on a new router. Maybe get it from a place a good return policy.

i tried to do system recovery again like in last time, it failed for some reason, i tried troubleshooting that but my pc stuck at 11% disk check, i restarted to look onto the next solution and i found out that my net was good again
this problem really annoys the f out of me, i cant find the problem thats causing it and end it once and for all.
but i do want to thank you for sticking with me and trying to solve this stupid issue, i really had made progress in my thinking throughout this thread
