Hello Tom'sHardware community,

Below are my pc specs:

Case: Crystal Series 570X RGB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z270X-Ultra Gaming
CPU:Intel Core i7-7700K Box ( NO OVERCLOCK)
GPU:Nvidia GTX 745
Cooling: Corsair Hydro H100i v2
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB DDR4-3000MHz
PSU: Corsair RMx Series 1000X
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 512GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

Suddenly i noticed that on corsair link program the RPM of the h100 is on idle status at 1200> and the CPU temps ~50 without running any programs (only the corsair link ofc).

The speed of the CPU is 3GH-4.2GH according to task manager, which was always under 1.5GH with 1% utilization.

I didnt have any problems before and i didnt change anything at all. Before this problem the idle rpm of the h100 was ~800 and the idle temps of the cpu were ~30.

The profile in Corsair link is set to Balanced.

Thanks in advance.

- How old is the H100i?

- Have you ever cleaned the computer for dust? Also have you ever cleaned the radiator fins for dust?

- This one I am unsure about so you better wait until someone else answer but with the latest windows update (The one for the security problem "KB4056892" I did run into problems with my Asus Ai Suite 3.
And I dont know if this update can mess with Corsair software.

I built this PC 2 weeks ago.

If your cooler is mounted well and functioning, I would expect to see 10-15c. over ambient.

Likely, your cooler pump has lost capacity or is partially blocked.
If you can't get it fixed, a RMA is in order.
Personally, I would sell the return unopened in favor of a noctua NH-D15s as a replacement.
It will run cooler, quieter, be more reliable, and will not leak.

But this happened suddenly without changing nothing.

Problem solved.Thanks anyway.

2 weeks old??

Sounds like you have/had an airbubble trapped somewhere in the loop.
If you still have the problem, try to tilt the case back and forth + side to side + change the RPM on the pump from minimum to maximum up and down to help move the air pocket.

Problem still there? Then RMA the H100i since it seems there is something wrong with it.
