In a couple of weeks time I am going to be building my new ryzen 5 pc. I am keeping my same SSD and HDD from my old computer. I am going to reset my SSD when I install my operating system on it however, will I need to reset my HDD because of my new motherboard and parts or will it work fine without resetting it?

Solution
By reset, if you mean format, then you only need to format the drive which will go in as your OS drive. I think that will be your SSD.
Formatting the HDD is not mandatory but you can do it if you want after backing up your important data.
Make sure you have only the target drive(ssd/hdd) installed while installing Windows. Attach the other drive once Windows has been installed successfully.
