My PC randomly shuts down but fans keep working

My PC randomly shuts down but fans keep working. I have to press the turn off button to shut down the PC. Another problem i get is game crashing.

I have recently built that PC, but i don't know what is causing this issue. I am pretty sure i have installed every cable right and windows 10 correctly.

I had used driver booster 5 to update some drivers, but i restored gpu drivers to the default ones.

Are you sure it's actually shut down and not just lost video signal?

I see you have updated drivers with driver booster (I use it as well) but have reverted your GPU driver to default (whatever that was). I suggest you download the latest drivers for your 1060 from Nvidia and try that.

Yes default ones is the driver version from the cd that came with the gpu

Yes but its been written over with the new driver from Driver Booster and then the new version uninstalled. It's not necessarily in its correct state. Still suggest the latest driver from Nvidia themselves as a starting point.

okay i will but still problem appears to be a windows or motherboard issue. Note that when i changed drivers i performed a clean installation of the new drivers

It sounds like youre just losing your display signal. Go on nvidia and download the newest drivers and custom install using the clean install option.

You did the new drivers for the gpu AFTER the driver updater software right?

Yor gpu shoud be in the pcie x16 slot.
