Recently, I've grown afraid of switching on the wall switch for my desktop PC, I'm wearing rubber gloves to switch it on and off. Everytime I switch it on, it sometimes produces some noise ranging from soft pop to loud bang along with some occasional flashes of sparks. This happened around 1 month ago after I dismantled my PC to clean the dust in it.

My PC is plugged into a 4 outlet power strip, with the power strip directly connected to the wall switch. On the power strip, another 2 additional monitor plugs are plugged in. When I switch on on the power strip instead of the wall, only the PC plug makes the noise and sometimes have flashes of sparks in the switch. I switched the power strip before as previous one also had the same problem and the switch became stuck on the on position.

The wall switch also had been switched 2-3 months ago as the switch also became stuck on the on position. The current wall switch can also be sometimes hard to switch off but as it is recently changed I don't really know what causes it.

All other appliance in my home do not have the problem. I live in Singapore, so my voltage should be 230V with a frequency of 50hz. All my PC components are bought at local stores, but the problem didn't happen until recently.

But my PC still runs fine after switching on, no popping sounds or sparks when running, no burnt smell etc. Thanks for looking into this problem :D
