The Z motherboards will allow overclocking of the i7-7700K Lesser chipsets will not allow overclocking. All modern motherboards will handle a GTX1080. You will want a quality psu of 500w or so for that card. What is your case? The motherboard must be of a size to fit in your case. M-ATX will fit in a larger case, but ATX will not fit in a M-ATX case. Upvote 1 Downvote
