I've recently picked a new processor and motherboard (i5-7600k and the gigabyte gaming k5), and I have had some trouble setting an overclock that will work. (Using presets in the Bios and setting my own) CPU-Z reads the proper multiplier, (I have set mine to max of 44 or 4400 MHz) but the core speed never passes the stock turbo speed of 4200 MHz.
Ive tried multiple hardware monitors and they all read the same. I've also used EasyTune to give an overclock and it works, but I rather use the bios than software. And I wonder why EasyTune works but the bios overclock does not.
