Make a wireless server.

I have my home server since a long time and I was wondering if could connect it to one of my spare wireless router and transfer data without having to plug an ethernet cable in my laptop every time I come back from work.
So basicly I want to do this:

Server---ethernet---router_________wireless_______PC

Is this possible to do?
And also I'm tired of seeing holes in my walls.

Is your router a router or is it a gateway device (modem/router/Wireless AP/switch)? If so it doesn't require an internet connection for the switch and the wireless AP functions to work, so yes, connect the server via ethernet and set up a SSID on the wireless side and Boom! Everything should play nicely together. If you supply the make and model of the device we can probably help you better. Good luck
