Ryzen 3 1200 vs i5 6600k

I am currently searching for parts for my pc build and I have this 2 builds ready


Ryzen 3 1200
Msi b350m mortar
8gb ram
1060 3gb


I5 6600k
Msi pro vdh
8gb ram
1050ti

What should I do??? Should I stick to the ryzen which i can overclock to 4.0 ghz or should I pick i5 6600k that is much faster than r3 1200( according to cpu.benchmark) I do plan to upgrade in the future and somebody says intel are better and ryzen are bad and I dont want to have regrets in this pc which is my first pc btw. Please HELP MEEEE!

well,, 1700 and 1800x are basically in same family with difference as 1800x has higher clock speed (they both have 8c/16t)
if for gaming only (not doing anything else), ryzen 5 1600 is better (higher single core clock than 1700 with 2 lesser cores)
or you can go for 7700k one, this one is for gaming only (7700k have higher clock and lesser cores) (due to the new Coffee Lake using different chipset, you won't be able to upgrade)

I'd prefer the Intel build especially if that 1060 you chose is the 3GB version.

But really the problem here is the Intel is on a dead platform. At least with the AMD you'd be able to put in a new CPU for quite sometime.

woah woah, slow down, that was quite a boost from your settings

going for 1800X doesn't necessarily better (1800X is fitted for workstation)
but 7700k is better if you build for gaming (doesn't its cheaper with higher core clock at lesser cores)
