My PC has been working fine until today when it started freezing in windows 10 after moving my computer tower. The freezes happen on putting my login password and the (BOOM) stuck and computer needs restarting.... or about a minute into login has happened and i get to using the machine 30-60 seconds after logging on.

I have taken the sides off my PC and checked every connection but still no luck. The strange thing is that is runs completely fine with 2x8GB but no more sticks can be added other wise i have stability issues. Iv even reseated everything.

I only upgraded to 32GB on the 3rd of this month because i was running low on ram with the software uni gave me to run along side some virtual machines. (Computer science student) with a broken computer! The irony!

Iv tried to reinstall windows, set the bios to default, iv swapped the sticks around in every combination to see if i had some bad ram. Nothing seems to work. It doesn’t matter what combination the ram sticks are in. It only works with 16GB

Please help! I have an assignment due in next week for uni and really need to get this running stable.

System specs as follows

Asus Strix Z270E (bios Ver 1009) (Latest)
Intel 7700k (nothing is over clocked)

Corsair Vengeance LED Blue DDR4 3000MHz (4x8GB) (set to 3000MHz in bios)
CMU16GX4M2C3000C15B

GTX 1070 it (Nvidia Founders)
Sandisk X400 512GB M.2
Corsair HX850

Windows 10 (up to date)

Temps are all good in the machine
Ran MEMTest and memory showed no errors

I’m thinking this could be bios related but I’m a little apprehensive about playing about with to much.

Any help would be great fully received.

Apologies fro spelling and grammar... tired here :)
