I and facing a situation a little strange.

I had do change my network IP address and segregate it in diferente VLAN.

I have 4 D-Link Router DAP 1360.

In the old network, with IP 10.10.0.0/23, those 4 D-Link router had fixed IP address. Everything was working fine.

After I created a new VLAN for WIFI, connected the D-Link to this new VLAN and assigned fixed IP in the new IP range for the VLAN.

The D-Link won't work.

If I put DHCP on the D-Link, it work.

I have other AP in my network with fixed IP (Cisco and AP Router brands). After the VLAN change,
they still work fine in the new IP address for the WIFI VLAN.

Only the D-Link stopped working if I put a fixed IP address. It only works with DHCP.

I do a RADIUS authentication in a Windows Server.

The VLAN is configured in the switch, not in the D-Link AP.

What could be wrong?

Solution

That configuration I am doing on the LAN port. The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 (/24).

Could it be a problem in my switch configuration?

I just did another test right now. Fixed IP - not ok | DHCP - ok.

In this last test:
Fixed IP:
10.11.5.10/24 - GW: 10.11.5.1 (not ok)

DHCP:
It got the IP 10.11.5.50/24 - GE 10.11.5.1 (ok)

I am thinking in change the whole IP range to DHCP and make reservation in the DHCP server for the AP routers. May be is the best solution for now.

Thank you.

I just reformulated my question and try to make it a little clear. :)
