I want to transfer the 2,5'' SSHD from my old laptop(Lenovo G505s) into a free slot on my new laptop(hp omen 15-ax201no) which only has a 256GB M.2 SSD. The SSHD was the only disk on the old laptop and has OS windows 10. My new laptop also has windows 10. Can i just plug it in, or should i remove the OS. And any tips to clean a harddisk completely?

Having a bootable hard drive from an old system isn't a problem; the computer will boot to the drive listed first in the boot list. If you want to wipe the drive clean you can departition it using Drive Management once it's in the new computer. Then format it and use it.
