So I think I know what's causing this but I'm makei a thread just in case. I am having some ram problems and while testing the ram I noticed both sticks only work on my 1st and second slot but not the third and forth which I need to run in dual channel

Solution
I have solved my problem. It seems my fan was screwed on too tight and when I losened it the dimm slots worked again :D. Luckily I didn't listen to the pp, responding to both my posts and decided to keep digging or I would of wasted some money.

Is there any way I can test the motherboard ram slots to make sure that it's them before I try to get a new one ( I don't have the money to get a new motherboard)

the ram test is the proof you need. if it won't work in certain slots, then likely those slots are faulty.

only other option is to try different ram sticks in those slots to see what happens. this of course means you need a couple extra sticks of ram to test with. obviously if other sticks work in those slots, then you can assume it is an issue with your ram.

most likely the motherboard that is the problem though.
