Graphics card compatibilty

I am building a new PC, with an Asrock 970M motherboard and an AMD FX8350 CPU, I have installed a GEForce GTX750 however on starting the PC For the first time there is no display signal being detected, can any body tell me if there is any compatibility issues here or is it just a driver issue?

There should be no compatibility problems with that board and modern graphics card, the GTX 750 included. Does your GTX 750 require a 6-pin? (I doubt it)
Is the card completely in the slot all the way?
Is the card used?
How are you connecting to the monitor?
Is the cable know to be good?
