Dark Rock 3 or Dark Rock Pro 3?

Actually I already have the Dark Rock Pro 3 but I still haven't install it because it will block my DDR3 Vengeance ram. I could remove the cover of the ram and there won't be any issues or lift the fan a little high. I haven't tried is so I don't know if it will work.

The Dark Rock 3 has only one fan and is a more compact size which probably won't give any ram clearance issue but what about the perfomance wise compare to the Dark Rock Pro 3? Isn't the Dark Rock Pro 3 overkill?

Should I change to the Dark Rock 3? I'm a content creator so I need good cpu cooling when rendering videos. Thanks.

PC Specs:

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4X4 DDR3 1600MHz (16gb)

So should I just get the Dark Rock 3? Or should I go with AIO Corsair H100i v2? The leak risk bothers me with aio.

Do you plan on overclocking, or is your cpu already overclocked? If not, even the stock cooler would be sufficient for a little while... if you still have it, that is. No need for a big fancy cooler unless you're pushing for a high clock speed.

Anyways, you can mount the fan higher for extra ram clearance, but depending on the depth of your pc case, you may not be able to close it.
Can you return your current cooler for another? I'd recommend Cryorig H5 or H7 to eliminate the ram issue.
And forget about AIOs, they aren't worth it. The good ones have poor value/performance and are inferior to a good air cooler.

I actually plan on oc but I'll just leave it for now. I already got the Dark Rock Pro 3 for a good price. I could still remove my ram covers and use it naked, it wouldn't matter because the cooler will be blocked by it.

Should I sell the Dark Rock Pro 3? I could get back the amount that is the price of the Cryorig H7.
The R1 Universal works with my ram, it has no clearance issue. Can you explain about the other coolers from Cyrorig and which is suitable with my specs and need for rendering videos everyday.

Depends, if you want high OC the R1 Ultimate or Dark Rock 3. Noctua NH-D15S is also extremely good. If you don't want to squeeze that much go with a normal Cryorig H5. H7 can do some light OC (higher number is not better for Cryorig, lower number is the higher more expensive version).

If you can remove the covers without issue, and refrain from crazy ram overclocks, you should just keep the DRP 3(great cooler, size being the only real issue with some folks' systems).

But if you really want to get rid of it, the H7, H5 and R1 Universal all have excellent ram clearance and you won't have to strip it.

I'm currently using the V8 GTS so since it's also a big cooler do you think the Dark Rock 3 might have no issues?

It's not the Air Maker 8. It's the Cooler Master V8 GTS. The Dark Rock 3 will only block 1 ram slot but maybe it won't at all.
