I thought it was my VPN provider and switched and now have the same issue.

I've switched the ports around and done a week of testing with the VPN guys with no success.

Their solution is to turn the VPN off to send e-mail....

Is there any way to let my mail server "mail.twc.com" bypass the VPN server?

I read something about adding a route, but don't know much about it.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

It may be that simple just add a route with the ROUTE command for that IP and point it directly to your router. Some VPN clients have a option to key in addresses that you want to bypass the vpn. Unfortunately it varies quite a bit. This is generically called split tunnel and some clients you must first turn on/off a option and then it will let you key in routes.

After messing my pc up too many times with VPN clients I only run vpn on the router and that has a area you can just key in the ips you want to bypass.

ok, i have to update the firmware on my R6300 to have the DD-WRT....then maybe it will have an option to bypass....not sure.

I would think there has to be an option, but I just don't know enough about this stuff....

Thanks,
