So, every about 20 minutes or so (doesnt have to be 20, can be 1, 5 or can last all day before freezing) my computer just freezes. Most of the time it's while I'm playing league, but it happens a lot just in desktop mode as well. The freeze normally freezes all programs for about 30 seconds to a minute, while I'm in league and the computer freezes, I die, feed the other team's carry and ruin the game. Which is obviously extremely frustrating. In desktop mode I notice the freeze when tabs dont load. I can open the other windows I have open until it just stops showing animations, so it's kinda like it slows down to a halt.

So pretty much, the computer freezes all active processes. I don't know if this is a problem with the hardware or software, but I'm suspecting it's the CPU because it is a dual core and whenever I play games it hovers around 80-90%

The weird thing is that when I went on vacation (out of town) for christmas break and came back, the freezes didnt start back up again for a couple weeks. I suspect it's maybe because I gave the components a little while to rest (idek if thats a thing).

Yeah so I don't know what's happening, I've searched google but it never tells me exactly what I should do in this situation to find out what's causing the freezing, it just says oH YourE HaRD DriVE is DeFectIve
which I'm pretty sure is not the issue because all 3 of my drives are less than 3 years old.

I know this probably sounds like a jumbled mess but I'm hungry and pissed that my computer that I spent all this money on is just deciding to ruin my favorite past time. So, can someone let me know of a program I can run to see what's wrong? I already have afterburner but that doesn't help because it just shows the percentage of ram gpu and cpu used the moment BEFORE the freeze which is also extremely frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Estimable
If you had failing hardware then if it froze up like that the PC likely would need to be restarted to use it again, or it would completely shut down in various ways. It sounds like the system is freezing because it needs time to "catch up".

I would check CPU, RAM, disk, and GPU utilization with task manager (or GPUz for GPU if you don't have Windows 10 task manager) to see if anything is near 100% while in a league custom game with yourself. Look for things that are eating up a lot of resources and close them if possible to see if that helps. Task manager can be used for closing programs.

If that doesn't help, I would try a clean install or OS reset (windows 8, 8.1, 10).

If sound plays still when the PC freezes, I would try swapping out the graphics card and doing DDU in safe mode to make sure drivers are cleared then installing the drivers for the test card. League doesn't need a high power card to run so you could try playing with it and seeing if it crashes. This would help eliminate the graphics card or its drivers as the cause.
