my friend got a new GPU, he installed it and right off the bat he got no signal when using the GPU. he only got signal from the integrated. So he booted using integrated and installed the latest Nvidia drivers to his computer. (the computer recognized the card was installed and so did the install wizard for the drivers) he got that installed and still couldn't boot. So he rebooted on the CPU and then switched over to the GPU while it was on.... and the screen loaded up on the GPU just fine. Now he can boot from the GPU (finally) but he doesn't get the motherboard options when restarting. It just skips the Asrock boot screen and goes to a black screen then loads windows. Is there some way to figure out whats going on? or has someone had this problem before and fixed it?

motherboard: Asrock b250m Pro4
gpu: PNY - xlr8 gtx 1050ti 4gb
cpu: i5-7500
psu: evga 650w 80+ gold
ram: 8gigs hyper-x gddr4 2133

update: full screen in ark is horribly screwed up he describes it as trying to play ark as you would watching a 3d movie. including the colors
