I currently have an Intel i7 - 4790 (Haswell I think) im not sure what that even means. My GPU is a Geforece GTX 1060 6GB amp edition, and i have an H81M-E mobo (DDR3) it says ATX 12V where my current psu plugs into the mobo (4-pin). i would like to get a psu above 600W but ive seen online that the haswell causes issues because of a low-power mode. please help me if you can. Thank you in advance.

A believe by "low power mode", I believe OP is referring to Haswell Sleep states. Most DC-DC power supplies would be compatible with it (not going out of spec) while older group regulated units most likely will not (disabling sleep state C7 can resolve the issue). The two units suggested so far a very good quality and haswell ready.

Though, the Seasonic Focus Gold would be a better buy rather than the Seasonic G.
