Hi there
I was wondering if anyone could help me.
Ive been searching google looking for answers with wildly variegating responses, so Im hoping some here could help me once and for all :)

while playing assassin creed origin on high settings , im getting a very load fan noises, now this has never happened before and I am worried about damaging my CPU!

my set up is

GFORCE GTX 1070
I7 - 6700k @ 4.00Ghz
16gb RAM

Running at 1080 60fps (most of the time) with no overclocking

my worry with my situation is the package heat temp is around 89 degree c??!

is this normal, should i be worried?
I am using a Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Evo CPU Cooler
any help would be greatly appreciated

please finds attached screenshot of cpu diagnostics

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solution
looks pretty normal to me with the type of CPU air cooler installed.
could you also edit your post with the motherboard you are using?
if your mobo supports it, try disabling the Multicore Enhancement/Turbo enchanced feature.
also change Sync all cores to per core.
these 2 settings will reduce the amount of voltage load to your chip.
if that still doesnt reduce temps during high usage, you may need to down clock your CPU.
you can start with increasing your AVX offset value. for example if your max turbo is 4.2. and your avx offset is 3. your computer will reduce its multiplier down and will result to 3.9. this will only affect windows apps/non-gaming softwares. but your games will still run at max turbo.

with fan noises suddenly...

with fan noises suddenly getting louder than usual. sometimes cleaning out dust on your GPUs fans/heatsinks will improve temps. the same for your CPU fan cooler.

Thank you for your speedy response...
Im using ab ASUS Z170 AR MB
Im not sure if that supports what you were referring too?
Is it maybe time to invest in a decent water cooler...?
Ill try cleaning out fans with compressed air later and post if anything has changed

was your temps always like this? if your idle temps are more than 35C and your PC is old, you may need to also try getting a good themal paste (e.g. noctua nt-h1/arctic silver 5).

since you are just running in stock speeds, you dont need a AIO water cooler. and 80C~85C temps at high loads is kinda normal for air coolers.

No this a new problem
Only started when playing assasins creed origins )not sure if its the game?)
idle temp is around 38C
I presumed this was normal

are you playing in a hot room? hows your room temps?
well 38C is okay for the CPU you have with a decent improvement over stock air coolers. im pretty sure your CPU will cool down to around par 35C if your machine is left idle for like 30mins. i can see it on the HWmonitor you have. with minmums to 33C. so your cooler is fine. its doing its job. its most likely your GPU is creating most of the fan noise.

you can also adjust your Q-Fan in your BIOS to run at higher RPMs at lower temps (e.g. move the graph curve to 100%@60C)

My room temp is less than ideal. around 25C. I do live in a hot part of the world.
My computer is under a year old, so i might just try cleaning out the vents and seeing of that helps!

Thank you for your help thus far

The temps aren't overly surprising with that cooler you have. That's not because it's an air cooler, but a budget air cooler designed to be able to handle just what you have and not much more.

That being said, 89°C isn't outright bad. The i7 is built to handle up to 100°C without failing. Getting below 80°C under load is a nice thing though.

I'd definitely try out what marksavio already suggested, especially replacing the thermal paste with a decent one like the Noctua he mentioned and adjusting the fan curve in Q-Fan.

turns out with some fan tweaking in my bios and GOOD dust clean, I managed to get the temp at around 75C wile under 100% load. thats about a 10 degree difference. thanks you for your help :)
