iphone screen temporary replacement

so my friends iPhone screen shattered, needs to transfer images to computer but touch screen is screwed up so cant accept the popup to enable PC connection. can i removed my screen and put on theirs for temporary use?

If it's the same model, sure. I wold not really call that a good idea because you are breaking the seal on a working phone and may not be able to get it back on as well, or can break something on your phone.
