Will I be with to game on a dual monitor set up with my Graphics card? I have the Gigabyte GTX 1060 6gb rock edition and it's been playing most games at 1080p on just one monitor. If I were to add a second monitor, would I still be able to achieve 1080p when gaming?

Solution
Probably not extremely well. Maybe well enough if you don't mind it.

With two 1080p monitors your resolution would be 3840x1080. You could probably see 60fps on medium settings for most AAA titles.

Trying to put this in a perspective. That's 4.14 megapixels. My monitor is 3440x1440 (4.95 megapixels) and requires a 1080 to run most games at 60fps on Ultra. 2560x1440 is 3.9 megapixels and a 1070 will usually run pretty much everything at Ultra 60fps on that. So I would say again, medium for 60fps maybe a little lower.

I think a 1070 might have a little trouble on select games at 3840x1080 on Ultra, but probably few.

I personally think Ultrawide resolutions are the way to go, resolution be damned.

I think the biggest issue gaming on dual monitors is the focus point in the center, I feel like to do multi-monitor gaming right you want 3 monitors or a ultrawide and you'll want a better card at triple 1080P monitors. If you went ultrawide I could see that 1060 6gb being able to game at 2560x1080P.

I agree at 2560x1080 you will still be able to game pretty well with a 1060, and it will get rid of that weird middle spot. (Think about how awkward that would be with a crosshair).

If you wanted a 3 monitor setup, it would push your resolution to 5760x1080. At that point you would NEED something like a 1080 to do it well for AAA titles.

And 21:9 is SWEET! (That's what my 3440x1440 is)

It almost feels like anything more would be a waste... but at the same time I have never tried a three monitor setup.
