How do I connect my elac b5 speakers to my computer?

I have just bought a pair of elac b5 speakers for my computer. The speakers have the regular gold plug ins for speaker wire, but what do I connect them TO? Do I need to buy a pre-amp or receiver for my computer as well? Are there connecting wires with speaker plugs at one end and an hdmi connector at the other end? Please help!

Those are just standard non-powered home speakers, you need an amp to run them. Or return the speakers and get a powered set.
