Just got a new motherboard and cpu, just installed them into my case and now it boots but there is no display and it turns off. I tried a brand new PSU and no luck. Any clue what to do?

Specs:
I5 8600K
Gtx 1070
Asrock Z370 killer sli/ac

even simpler. use a Win10 installer on a USB drive (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10) and let Windows install itself over it's old iteration (again, select "custom" not "repair or upgrade") and you're all set. Don't forget: Immediately after the install completes, go to "settings->Update & security->Windows Update->Check for updates" and get all the latest stuff downloaded and installed before you do anything else.

Time for a wipe (my preference: others will argue that it's not necessary) and a clean reinstall of the OS (use "custom install" not "repair or upgrade")

Oh, and as has been made clear: NEVER wipe an SSD!!!

Take the small CMOS battery off the motherboard for roughly 30mins then put it back in.
Also short the clear cmos jumper and then return to normal position
Look at pages 7 & 23 of your manual for reference
