New GPU, games crash system

I recently installed a new gpu(1060) and when I stress test with both furmark and heaven everything is fine. Temps are solid too. However when I play a game(smite), my computer like insta restarts, gpu fan shoots to 100% and I have black screens. Any ideas?

Ryzen 1700
X370 msi gaming plus
Asus 1060

I didn’t at first, but I did after thinking about that, the problem is still happening. I know it has to be gpu related as it only started after swapping them. All wires are good. If the gpu was bad wouldn’t it fail in stress testing too? :/
