Hi! My default hard drive is dying. I've installed a second, and right now I'm copying everything to the new hard drive. I want to keep both for now, but once I install Windows on the new drive, how do I go about switching it as the default drive that it boots off of?

Solution
The only way you can change your default drive is doing an install of windows on it, so you've sort of doing things backwards. You should have started with a clean install of Win10 onto the new drive (with the old drive disconnected), then reinstalled the old drive, which would then show up as the D:\ (or next available letter) drive. You can still do this, but it will require you to delete the partition on the new drive, create a new partition and format it, then remove the old drive, Install the OS on the new drive, etc
