I have an ASUS G11CD-DS71-GTX1050. I also have a GTX 1080 FE. I want to swap them but I'm not sure the stock power supply can handle it.
Does anyone know ?

Yes correct, nVIDIA asks for a 520 watt power supply (you want more than this) bare minimum and an 8 pin PCIe connector from the PSU.

Also, if you have not yet purchased the 1080 FE, ensure that the card will fit in your case as it is significantly larger than a 1050 GTX.

Open the PC case and look at the side of the power supply box. That is the critical piece of information: the PSU wattage that you have an preferably which brand and model it is. A 1080 GTX asks for you to have a 520 watt power supply minimum.

Crap 300 watt no name power supply without an 8 pin adapter for the 1080 ... guess it won't cut it.
