Netgear wireless internet usb keeps disconnecting

Netgear wnda3100v 3 is disconnecting from internet over and over never had problems with it till recently.

I tried the power savings thing and the driver is up to date. At first it seemed good, but now it seems though everytime i begin to download something or browse the web for a few it disconnects me and doesnt recognize the usb until i restart the pc, then rinse wash repeat.

Possible malware or virus issues maybe?

Any gelp is great- thanks.

I really hope that it is not failing, since I have had this for only a year, but I will definitely give that a shot! It just seems weird to me that it completely disconnects and renders the usb device unrecognized. I feel if it was on a busy channel it would still be able to recognize the usb device, also I am no computer expert.

I think i will pick up another one, hopefully ill have good results. I tried channel changing and it only prolonged the inevitable.

Im sorry to go over the same acquisition, but even if it only disconnects during downloads you think that it is failing? It seems when i browse the internet is good for a while, but when the downloads start is when it has issues it seems.

Thanks for your reply. Ill invest into a pci wireless card instead and see if that helps. It seems the Ethernet port on this motherboard won't recognize a direct input.
