I recently bought a i7-4790k/Z97-Pro4, and since then other games have been working good, if not better, however not rocket league. I used to run the game at 144Hz with a i7-3770, and it'd never be a problem, however now with this new CPU its somewhat terrible. I average about 55-105 frames in maps with other players/bots, and around 90-120 by myself.

My setup is:
GTX 980TI 6GB,
16GB DDR3 @ 1866,
i7-4790k,
Z97-Pro4
Windows 10 Pro

And i've tried turning off game DVR, reset bios, updated bios, XMP'd RAM, reinstalled game, and recently even reinstalled to a fresh OS, and its still all the same problem..

EDIT: I have managed to fix it, I don't really know what I did, but I played around with a lot of things, moved the GPU to the X16 slot, to the 3.0 slot, downgraded driver, etc, and now its working fine with a downgraded driver so, would probably have to pin the fix to the previous driver.

Hmmm . . . that's an odd problem.
But Rocket League is the best game ever invented, so we better fix it ASAP.

My only suggestion at the moment is to try V-sync or Nvidia Adaptive V-sync.
When I got a 1440p monitor and a GTX 1070, Rocket League ran faster but for some reason it's was way more inconsistent and introduced a lot of lag that was never there with a GTX 970 pushing 1080p.

I don't think messing with the v-sync does anything really, I just go into utopia colosseum in training, and the frames just sit at 100-120 on either option, then loading in a bot game really drops the frames, its an odd issue for sure..
