What wireing have I done wrong here?

Hi there this board is the asus z370 mini atx board here. As far as I can see it has no actual light for me to see if it’s being powered. So I was going to base that decision on weather or not the fans started going. But when I try to power it on I get absolutely nothing, I think it’s my wireing but I would like to know for sure. Thanks in advance guys!

First, you need to put your RAM in there. You also need to attach your CPU cooler and plug that into the CPU fan header. You also need to make sure that you have the 4 or 8 pin CPU power connected properly and that you’re not forcing a PCI power cable into it.

Never start a PC without the CPU cooler installed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some boards will do nothing if memory is not installed.

Yes I’m aware of this, thanks though. I’m simply looking to see if the fans should run without the ram cpu or hdd.

It will not run or post it will power up but w/o a cpu or ram what do you expect ?
