I have had a gaming pc for around two years, my pc is slow, and i feel with the specs i have that my pc shouldn't be giving a low performance. I know people with not as good specs and they have a faster running pc and better FPS in games. I experience around 45 FPS just on a game like Battle field. And have a solid 60 FPS on Call Of Duty and because it doesn't bounce around it looks like its capped. Also my OS and other software takes ages to load. I have nearly given up as Two years is a long time. Can someone please help ? list of spec below.

My specs are:

CPU - AMD 9590fx 8 core 16 mb cache, running at 4.5 GHz. Liquid cooled with the corsair H60

GPU- MSI twin forza GTX 970 4GB version

RAM - HyperX kingston DDR3, 2 x 4GB running at 1886mhz

PSU - Corsair RM Series 1000w Fully Mod

Mother Board - MSI 990 FXA Supporting DDR3 and Sata 6

HDD - seagate barracuda 2tb st2000dm001

I found the problem, it was the CPU, the CPU i have is renowned for heating up. The specs of my HDD are decent, so it couldn't of been that. I already have liquid cooling but it isn't enough, so i installed two CPU fans from corsair and it fixed the problem. the cooler you can run that CPU the faster your PC will run, i will also get an SSD to boost performance but for anyone with that CPU get either really good liquid cooling or low end liquid cooling with a ton of fans, and that won't even work well if you don't have good air flow. Thankyou guys for helping and suggesting and i hope this thread is useful to others, as i know heat is the problem when anyone has that CPU installed.

You are running off a HDD which is probably nearly filled up over time. As such, when you load your OS it will take a lot time as it is quite slow.

It could be that hdd slowing you down, personally id get a small ssd for at least your os. That would cut boot time by a good deal. And this is a little off topic but why did you underclock your 9590?

I would suggest replacing the Barracuda if that is the c: drive and replace it with a SSD. Then use the Barracuda as a second drive. With an SSD you get more performance than any other upgrade you can do.
