Dear users and experts,

First of all I want to highlight that I'm kinda newbie in case of OC. I've read some forums and tutorials about it so I know the basics but never performed the OC before.

I was running the Intel i5 6600k on my Asus Maximus VIII Ranger motherboard. Earlier I've turned on mobo OC profile which boosted my processor up to 4,2 GHz and changing the voltage to offset mode with auto scaling. But I wanted to try something else so I restored the settings to default (3,9 GHz) and started to tweak on XMP profile.

I've only tweaked the core multiplayer on every core to 45. I've set volatge setting to auto. Nothing more. Currently the max temperature that I've reached on a stress test was 69C (15 minutes on Real Bench and a few Cinabench tests). Also while playing the max that I currently reached was 63C. My voltage according to CPU-Z is basicly static, oscilating around 1,264-1,280 V. Below readings from RealTemp, CPU-Z, task manager and HWMonitor.

My biggest question is - was that ok what I've done? Am I safe with those setting and can I stick with them? Can I push further with multiplayer with auto voltage settings?
From what I've read the OC wasn't so simple back in the past and this process was too easy.

If there will be more info needed I can provide screenshots of the settings from my bios.

Thank you!

Looks like you got a good chip, I need 1.34v for 4.5ghz. Voltage is safe.
