Hello all,

I recently received the following computer:

Aurora R7 Base

Intel Core i7 8700 (6-Core/12-Thread, 12 MB Cache, up to 4.6GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Tech

16GB Duel Channel DDR4 at 2666MHz (2X8GB)

Intel Core i7 Processor Kabylake-R Label

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with 8GB GDDR5

Could you please recommend a monitor for gaming?

The computer will primarily be used for gaming, but also internet, bills. Etc. It will be used to watch Netflix or movies, but only when guests stay over which isn't very often.

The wife and I are not afraid of big monitors of that is recommended.

Also, do you recommend any immediate upgrades to the computer?

Is there anything software wise we need to do tweek it and make it better.

We have only done the initial windows 10 setup.

If you need more information to make a decision, please let me know and I'll try to provide it.

Thank you!

If you want the best monitor for all tasks, I would recommend the LG 34UC79G-B: 34 Inch Class UltraWide Gaming Monitor. This monitor is one of the best monitors out there, kinda pricey tho ($600). With 34 Inches of Curved screen, you can multitask easily and it has a 144Hz refresh rate display. Perfect for everything. If this one is too expensive, I'd recommend checking out the Samsung CFG70 Series 27-Inch 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor. It's less expensive but still offers 144Hz refresh rate and its curved. As for your computer, your computer is perfect the way it is. First thing I recommend downloading is Geforce Experience. It's gonna help optimize your games and pick out the best settings.
