I am planning to overcock a 8600k to at least 4.2GHz. I read it does not take much to reach that level. I just wanna what air cooler (Water cooler is not an.option) is good for this. I don't want crazy over lock. Just a decent bit. The place I'm living in I only have cooler master and Corsair as my option. So please tell between theses two. CPU cooler height can be up to 310 mm

Already bought
Motherboard: GA HD3P Z370
PSU: Seasonic S12ii 520W
RAM : Crucial 2400 8 GB
Processor: 8600k

air coolers are big, clunky, and not as effective as water coolers. They have a tendency to block RAM slots or GPU slots, and get in the way of everything, besides putting huge stress on the motherboard because of their weight. If you can swing it at all (and you just bought a i7-8600k, right?), put a AIO water cooler on it.

This really depends and isn't always correct. Not all liquid cooling is 'good' liquid cooling. In fact, there are some very good air coolers out there that perform as well or better as closed loop AIO coolers for less money.

Each has there pros and cons...
Why are you limited to just those two brands? Location or you don't want to order online.
I just picked up a very gently used "looks brand new" noctua d15 for $21 and that is in the top teir for air coolers.
