is western digital scorpio black compatible to pc?

i'm using a nzxt s340, but i'm hesitating to buy one because i'm afraid it won't compatible to my pc. Many said it's a notebook harddrive

yeah, it's a laptop drive, but that's a big so-what. The fact is that it's only a SATA2 3Gb/s SSD. Depending on the year/model of your computer(CPU/motherboard combination) you probably need/want the faster, newer SATA3 6Gb/s HDD. Besides which, 3.5" HDDs tend to spin faster, giving faster access to data than the slower 2.5" drives.

yeah. the cost. frankly, any hdd by WD, Seagate or Toshiba works just fine, and in my experience they all have about the same life expectancy. Don't bother spending extra money on the "network" or "NAS" drives.
