QUestion about RAM

Solution
well most games dont need alot of RAM to work with. they only use a particular spot and size of space in RAM and work with that. if your ram is slow/low bandwidth, then you will notice the fps drops/stutters/tearing. thats why its usually recommended you get a high speed ram or take advantage on the dual channel. so to answer your question. games dont need MORE ram and they dont "eat it up". it will though if you have only 4Gb RAM to work with in a 64bit OS with other apps running in your background. so you do need a minimum requirement. you just need better RAM and better interface with it in most games which will improve performance and/or fps.

take also in consideration that some games may be poorly developed. like memory leaks...
