4790K Overclocking Help

I just picked up a brand new H115i Pro AIO, and I'm keen on pushing my CPU to it's limits with this good cooling. I personally haven't overclocked any components before, so I'm a little spooked by all of what I'm meant to do. Would anyone be able to tell me how far my CPU could go with the following parts? Thanks!

CPU: i7 4790K @ 4.4 GHz Turbo

Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC-MATE

RAM: G.Skill 16GB DDR3 @ 1866MHz

Cooler: Corsair H115i Pro RGB

GPU: ASUS ROG Strix 1070

4790K can be pushed at 4.7-4.9Ghz with a z 97 board should be able to do this easily enough. google the 4790K and MSI Z97 PC-Mate words and you should find plenty of web pages/video YouTube explaining the process.

I've actually used the 4790k with the Z97 PC Mate and the best I got was a full time 4.4ghz with all cores using the built in overclocking tool in the BIOS. As for what the Paladin said of 4.7-4.9, I haven't heard of the 4790k getting that high. The best I've heard for the 4790k is 4.5 or 4.6ghz.

well I run mine at 4.7 on a Asus gryphon Z87 , guess I got the lottery on cpu quality. you need to push your voltage and lock it to 1.3v not use auto, the auto overclock in bios( leaves voltage at 1.212v) and only allows overclock to get to 4.4/4.5 set clock to x47 and test it

From some things I've seen online, apparently my mobo is limited to 1.3V to the CPU, so even if I did overclock, I wouldn't be able to get that far.

Not sure how you figure that mine is at 4.6 with 1.24 volts right now.
Your board is not a great overclocking board but 4.6 should be doable depends on your luck with the chip you got.
