So i just got a Corsair h80i v2. Set it up and using it. But i was wondering what if i can remove one of the fans? İt 'll look cleaner.

i installed it on the front side of my Evolv case.
The fan s are blowing like this:
Blow direction: into the case Radiator Blow Direction out of the case

What should i do? are the blowing directions wrong?

thank yuo

ah sorry that was a typo. i meant 120mm. yes those fans can fit into the radiator. but they are less effective than the default fans that run at 2400ish rpms. any fans with dynamic/oiled ball bearings with 2000++ rpms are pretty quiet actually. like the Cooler Master silencio. and the noctua fans.

if you still wanna do the 1 fan setup, you will need it to run at max constant speed.

hmmm yes you can use it with one fan tho BUT it will be less effective to dissipate heat from the 140mm radiator as quickly with a push pull configuration (meaning with 2 fans). so expect higher temps during high usage with just a 1fan setup. corsair suggests that you do it as an front intake to the case. but you can use it as a rear exhaust as well as your case allows it. if you have motherboard clearance.

You can remove one of the fans. It will cool a little worse but if you're willing to make that sacrifice it's fine.

Also, make sure you have BOTH fans pulling air INTO the case, since this is a front radiator. If not, make sure the air is at least going in the same direction. Pulling air in two opposite directions is not good.

if you wanna do one fan, you will need to replace those fans and buy a much more powerful one like the one from Noctua. ive seen linustechtips did an experiment with that. or any [strike]140mm[/strike] 120mm fan that goes above 2000rpm.

Yep, that alone should improve temps all around.

i just want it to look nice and be quiet. i cant imagine a fan going 2000 rpm.
can i replace the fans on my h80i with some new corsair Rgb LL series 140mm fans? the ones on it are 120 mm are they compatible?

my previous rig had noctua in it but it was a closed case this new case is tempered glass i really dont like how noctua looks :D
