I'm making a pfSense router because I'm too cheap to buy an actual router considering I had an extra PC lying around. Got the thing running but it won't recognize the wireless card and I seem to be too stupid to understand the first page of Google about PCI compatibility. Anyway. Does thingy 1 go into thingy 2? Ignore the centimeter of dust on the bottom. Will be vacuumed by the end of the day.

EDIT: By thingy two I meant the white slots.

the red slot is PCI Express, has different bin shapes than your card. You just purchased a card not supported on the motherboard, get below instead:

Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte - GC-WB867D-I PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter ($30.57 @ B&H)
Total: $30.57

I put it in the white ones. Should I remove the I/O shield thingy and try to get it in the red one?
