Couple of notes. I've not built a Ryzen system before. This is modeled around my current intel system but with faster ram, and GPU. I'm not 100% on the motherboard, but there is plenty of room left in that budget to get something different. I've also not been thrilled with ASUS boards lately but it should be "good enough" to handle what is there. Also I was super wrong about the ram. To get decent speed at that volume you have to spend that kind of money. I feel weird spending more money on the RAM than the CPU and MOBO combined...feel free to knock it down to 16gb, you can always buy more later. The 1080 is a placeholder. If you can get a TI for less than that $800, it'll be way better than the straight 1080. You've got the budget so...
ugh...That's not a great build.

The storage system is overkill. You want something fast for working files and redundant mass storage. I'd get a 500gb nvme for the fast drive and a pair of 1tb HDD in raid 1 (mirrored) for your redundant storage. The last thing you want to happen is to lose all your animation work because your hdd crashed.

32gb RAM is nice but you probably don't need something so high end. Ryzen benefits from having fast ram but $400 for 32gb is overkill I think.

The GPU could probably be dialed back a tick to a standard 1080 or a 1070. Especially if you are just starting out in animation. You can upgrade later to improve your render times.

PSU is massively overpowered. There is no reason for that system to use 1500w. Even with dual GPUs you might be looking at a 850w psu.

You can ditch the cable kit to save a hundred bucks as well.

I'll try and put a build together later.

This will be able to run Photoshop, After Effects and Dreamweaver CC pretty good right?

PSU should be big enough to handle two gpus if you want to convert this to a render machine with multiple GPUs later on. Then I've changed the storage system as I described earlier.

This is great man!! So basically just keep the corsair dominator platinum 32gb? Also what do you recommend for a curved 34" wide monitor that displays in 3440 x 1440?

If gaming is major usage, 8700k is the clear winner: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-coffee-lake-i7-8700k-cpu,5252-6.html

It is even better than Ryzen 7 for most rendering software: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-coffee-lake-i7-8700k-cpu,5252-10.html
