well, so i built a new pc some months ago. My friend recently got himself a new pc aswell and we play the same game, but for some reason our fps is entirely different. i have 150-200 and he has constantly 300+fps. i have quite better specs than he has so i was just wondering if you guys know what might've happen'd when i built mine.
i've got:
geforce nvidia GTX 1080 8gb
intel core i5-7600 3.5ghz
16gb ram

It looks like to me your monitor only supports up to 1280 x 1024, so try getting a new screen because your 1080 needs to look clean and good on a nice screen. Ask your friend what screen he has. Its prob a lot better.

Hope this helps.

you can try first updating your drivers and your BIOS as well like what @keatingscool suggested
i notice your BIOS version is kinda old. and your processor is underperforming.
you can try changing your OS power plan to high.

you can also check your temps with HWmonitor. and also download CPUz. leave them on while you are doing a GPU benchmark.

It would be helpful to know information - the benchmarks don't look out of whack and outside of that, all we know is that your rig is performing worse than your friend's mystery rig in some specific mystery game. The more detailed information you can provide, the less generic the answers given will be.

Im not well known in monitor screens... but my advice would be to take your PC over to his house and test it out on his monitor. Old monitors are good but when you have a top of the line graphics card that suppose to be used on higher end monitors... it may give problems.

Hope this helps!
