So my PC is not working as it should, and i have reasons to think the issue is my hdd or a sata controller on the MB, even though it should work fine.
The first "event" that occured was in a morning, a few days ago, when the PC wasn't booting into Windows, it was saying something like "Insert Media, press any key to restart". I didn't panic and i grabbed my Windows Installation usb stick and attempted Startup Repair. That fixed it for a few days but today my computer bluescreened with a 0x7a error, KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR, and the file that caused the problem was Ntfs.sys.
And now when I want to use the computer it works fine for some minutes but then the HDD does a clicking sound, it freezes for like a minute and then it works again, that happens when browsing. When I am gaming it freezes constantly before completely crashing.
I'd like to upload the dump files but it says that they need admin permission to move them.

- It sounds like the hard drive is failing. Back up your data as soon as you can if possible. My workflow would be

1. Backup the HDD if possible.
2. Disconnect the HDD
3. Swap the HDD for another HDD with Windows 7 fresh install in it. Verify system is functional with no crashes or failures. You can also run an OS off a USB like ubuntu to see if the system works with the HDD out of the picture. A Windows HDD would be better though.
3.5 Attempt to reinstall Windows on the possibly failing HDD to see if that helps.
4. Buy a new HDD, preferably an SDD, and install Windows 7 on to it and re-use the Windows key from the original installation.
