Any Input Appreciated: My Troubleshooting Methods are Listed:
ASUS PCI Express Xonar DX XD Sound Card Not Recognized
• Windows Device Manager does not detect the card. Nor does Speccy.
• I have tried three different PCI-E slots. Having switched slots with my Wi-Fi card. So, the PCI slots are not the issue.
• I uninstalled all audio devices and drivers, as well as disabled onboard audio in the BIOS and then installed the card.
• I tired installing two different versions of the official drivers, 8_1_8_1823 & 8_1_8_1823-beta, as well as the UNI drivers, UNi-Xonar-W10-1825-v1.81a-r2.
• Auxiliary power appears to be properly connected.
• Audio card EEPROM is NOT overwritten. As it doesn’t show up in device manager. http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Xonar_EEPROM_Failure
• I do not think that the Audio card needs to be reseated in the PCIe slot, as I have removed and installed it numerous times.
• I always grounded myself, and remained very conscious of that, so I did not fry the card.
• I have tried stopping and restarting the Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Services.
• The motherboard shows code: A0: Initiation has Started, which is a Non-Error code.
• The power supply shouldn’t be an issue: http://www.overclock.net/t/1345048/asus-xonar-dx-not-detecting-power-supply
• I have tried, mixing and matching these solutions possible solutions and variables with no success.
