My son has a low end gaming pc that the motherboard (A88XM-E35) failed this week. I tested the chip in a A68HM-E33 and it works, it is an amd A10-7850K w/ gtx 1050, 2x8gb (16gb) of DDR3-1600 and a 120gb ssd with a 4tb hdd. It has a new evga 750W power supply (we ordered a 500 and due to stock were sent and upgrade and we did not complain lol) We were looking at the current chipsets/motherboards and wanted advice on best bang for the buck upgrades. The gtx 1050 is dated but still plays everything well enough to push a new card back another year, the storage is great so our main focus was on the Cpu/Mainboard/Ram. If I had $200-300usd to spend what would you suggest to do? Ram is dated but works great and is enough to run everything, so would hate to have to buy replacements due to change in ddr3 to 4 too, but I am open to any advice you can give me.

Ok will research the Ryzen chipset, I have been an intel guy myself for years because of a few bad experiences but I understand they are rock solid now. Thanks will let you know my pick!
