Hey,I know this question has been asked before but why isn't my flash drive working? I tried plugging it into my school laptop,it didn't wor. I even tried plugging it into one of the old laptops my Gran found and it didn't work. It was working perfectly until it started pulling up a "drive cannot be accessed" error and then yesterday,it just stopped. How can I fix this?

I don't want a new one! I want my current one to work. I saved up a lot of data and I don't want to lose any of it. Now,every time I try to plug it in to try and recover all of that data,it shows up but it causes my computer to freeze and the screen to go black until I pull it out or it doesn't show up at all.

It sounds like a very dead flash drive. There is generally no 'fix'.

As for your data? This is what backups are for. A USB flash drive is pretty much the worst place to have a single copy of your data.

Wait a minute... I think I figured it out. The plug of the flash drive was bent and the soldering probably separated. I could be wrong but this might be the answer to what I was looking for. What supports this theory is that when I plug my flash drive into my laptop, the light blinks, meaning that it's not actually dead. I'll check it and see if that's what happened.
