Hi friends,

So I've this particular issue that's been going on with my audio where it crackles or have static on particular pitches, both low and high. It's usually not a constant buzzing/crackling noise but a frequent crackle through out videos, music, games, and just audio being played in general. As long as there is volume and audio playing, low or high, the crackling happens, so this static noise does not occur when I turn the volume to zero. Where it is more noticeable is when I'm running two or applications that have audio.

For example, I'll be listening to the H3 Podcast from youtube on my browser while slaying hordes of Grineer in Warframe, and the audio will always crackle at the same kind of sound or similar notes or something. It's even more noticeable is where I eject from the plane in PUBG, and the wind sound effect of falling actually causes a continuous audio crackling at even a greater volume than usual. At it's most noticeable is when I'm listening to low fidelity music, such as the Lofi Hip Radio 24/7 from youtube where it is also almost a continuous audio crackle as well. Another example I have is when I'm listening "I'll Never Smile Again," by Tommy Dorsey, I'd get a much louder and clearer crackling/static sound on top the lofi background crackling from the video itself.

Another thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't matter what kind of interface or audio device I'm using, whether it be a USB headset, and 3.5mm jack speaker, the crackling still occurs. It is especially prominent when there's a loud bass noise playing through my HD558s. But when I first turn on the computer, the crackling does not begin until either roughly a half hour of listening to one thing at time, or it immediately begins once there are two audio playing, such as Spotify and Overwatch.

Thing's I've tried:
-Tried multiple of those small USB sound card (ie. Sabrent USB) in different USB ports
-using the Berhinger 302USB mixer (still use it even though it doesn't improve the problem at all nor does it make worse in any way)
-using headphones, earbuds, and speakers
-plugging my computer to different wall sockets in my room as well as different power strips
-unplugging the front panel audio header from my MOBO (I don't use the front panel audio ports)
-uninstalling, updating, reinstalling, and using older drivers
-my room floor is carpet and I used to only just have a 1in thick wooden board between the carpet floor and computer, I now have it on a stand, a good 3-4ft off the floor
-upgrading the PSU, I used to have a 500watt 80 bronze PSU
-plugging in my mixer to a USB hub with a power adapter (ie. AmazonBasics 7 Port USB 2.0 Hub with 5V/4A Power Adapter)
-cleaning out the dust from my system using compressed gas duster (but I didn't bother to get every tiny spots of dust in the system)
-disabling all sound enhancements and setting it to 16bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) through my sound device properties
-disabling a number (not all though) of devices through device manager one by one while observing my DPC Latency Checker (still get jumps to the 2000s)
-disabling real time monitoring applications (ie MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner)

I'm speculating that there mayhaps be a problem with my motherboard, but I don't want to have to purchase a new one unless I know it's for sure. Otherwise, what else could be the problem?

Unforunately, something went terribly wrong where my computer just stopped being able to boot up properly. So I went over to a friend's place that happen to have somewhat similar computer to mine, and after a bunch switching and testing, it turns out the mobo just died on me, and only the motherboard luckily. So I'll be getting new one anyways. I appreicate your help anyways, Robert. I'll post here again whether or not if the audio crackling still exists even after replacing the mobo. It might be a while because I'm busy with work, school, and home stuff.

Soo still happens... Are cables from PSU close to motherboard(yeah funny question). Have you tried to play song and unplug everything except speakers or headphones (even monitor).
Have you tried outside of case?(on bed be sure you're not making electric shock, wear gloves).
Either something is making disturbing to your motherboard eg. magnetic field/Phone->(if you put it close to cable).

WOOPS, huge typo, what i meant to say was that "the audio crackling is NO longer a thing." My bad, didn't get much sleep last night. It's fixed, audio is crisp and clear without any disturbance.

Alright, it was very likely due to my previous mobo being slightly undervolted. I can't really remember clearly when the audio crackling started, but it might've began after I did the overclock. I ended up replacing the mobo with a new one and the problem just vanished
