Can someone with experience in this case tell me how much dust gets in, since the sides of the front intake are not covered with any dust filters? I can't decide between this case, the Phanteks Evolv ATX, or waiting for the Define R6 in gunmetal to be released.

Solution
how much dust gets into the case depends on how much dust is outside the case. A case with dust filters all around is better than a case without. Cleaning the inside of a case is a pain in the butt, and if you're not careful can cause all manner of problems. Get a case with a good review, that has case filters. It's the best thing in the long run.
