I am currently running pretty ok specs:
MSI GTX 1080
I5-6600K
MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING
16 GB DDR4 RAM
I tested this in Overwatch and RainbowSixSiege.
I never have over 59 FPS, and the same with any in-game graphic settings. This then every like 20 second jumps to 40 FPS with totally no reason, after another around 20 seconds it then goes to 60 again.
Sometimes it also shows that it is on 80 FPS for a while but then it always feels like 50 FPS. It only runs stable when showing 59 FPS.
There is totatlly no difference with whatever software I am running simultaneously.
Often I can manage to get it from 40 back up to 60 fps by often switching out and into the game or even doing any special things ingame, like switching my gun..
My temps are totally normal of both CPU and GPU, GPU memory is not even close to full and every driver is up to date... I can really not tell what my issue is here. and no, I don't have the monitor running off of the integrated mobo graphics.
